Why cant I lose my body fat?

Hi everyone, I need advice/opinions.

This is my 6th week on my lifestyle change (aka "diet"). It seems no matter what I do, I cant lost my belly/chest fat. Here’s a rundown on what I have done in these 6 weeks.

Food:
I have completely eliminated sugar from my diet, with the exception of fruit and milk. Occasionally I’ll have a fruit smoothie or something which probably has added sugar, but I don’t do this often.

I have also cut soda out of my diet. I have always drank diet soda but I know it’s not healthy. I have completely replaced it with water, which I drink almost 2 gallons a day (I work in very hot conditions so Im constantly sipping water).

Ive re-introduced natural food into my diet. No more "tv dinners" and such. I buy vegetables, salads, fruits, milk, whole wheat bread, tuna, salmon, etc.

I also don’t drink alcohol either, I used to drink on weekends and stuff, but now I dont drink at all.

Now, on to my workouts. I’ve become very comfortable in the gym. Monday-Thursday I wake up at 6am and do 30mins of cardio (interval training) on an elliptical, and then I do weight lifting at noon.
On weekends (Fri-Sun) I try to rest my body, but I usually go on a long 90minute walk or do some more cardio.

I also drink a Whey protein shake after all of my weight lifting workouts, and I take "Ripped Fuel 5x" to help burn body fat.

With that being said….why haven’t I lost my belly/chest fat? I’m not expecting "miracle results" or anything….but I mean…enough is enough, you know?

Before I started this lifestyle change, I weighed around 165-166lbs, and I now weigh about 158lbs. I am a 22year old male. I understand that 7lbs in 5 weeks is considered a "healthy" weight loss…but I don’t really care about weight, I care about appearance…and I look exactly the same, besides bigger arm and leg muscles.

What’s going on???
ALSO: I stopped eating 3 large meals a day, and I eat 6 meals, 2-3 hours apart, each around 300 calories.
Lynn – a thyroid issue is exactly what I thought was going on, my mom said it runs in my family, thank you!

John cruz – crunches and sit ups dont burn belly fat. They make your abs stronger.

Matt armas – See, I’m trying to gain muscle as I lose fat (tricky situation), because someone with more muscle burns more calories “at rest” than someone without muscle, plus the whey protein heals my torn muscles after a workout…i cant let that go!

Rutgers student – I go to Rowan lol. And last week I switched my whole routine, so I hope it is just a plateau!
